02/18/2006 Entry: "Cs back on line"
I've finished moving CS1 and CS2 into their new rack, and have written software to use an HP 5334A counter and 59307A GPIB coax switch to monitor up to four PPS signals vs. GPS. I'm now plotting CS1, CS2, and RB1 with the results at http://www.febo.com/time-freq/plots.
CS1 and CS2 have been powered up for about a month, though I only turned on the Cs tubes about 48 hours ago. RB1 has been running for maybe six months.
Current C-field settings:
RB1: 1.85
CS1 (LTC): 5.30
CS2: 4.60
There's a definite frequency offset when switching the Cs from normal to long time constant (LTC) mode.
Here are current meter readings:
RB1: PHOTO I -- 25
2ND HARM -- 45
CS1: MULT -- 36
BEAM I -- 21
2ND HARM -- 30
CS2: MULT -- 40
BEAM I -- 19
2ND HARM -- 38
