[barc] Cable and Connector Joining Party Tuesday Evening

Now that we have the cable and connectors, I would like to invite
our club members to a cable assembly party at the clubhouse on Tuesday,
November 15,
beginning at 6:30 PM. If you can't get there until later, please come
when you can.

The plan at this time is to cut four lengths of cable for each
of the 4 stations. These cables will connect the stations to
the patch panel.

We will also attach our new connectors to the cable using the
club's brand new crimping tool.

If time permits, we may be able to make up the cable assemblies
which will connect the Polyphaser panel to the patch panel.

Tim Procuniar, N8NQH, has been nice enough to develop a cutting
chart (attached) to help us trim the coax at each end to accept the
connectors.
Tim will also bring his crimping tool, so we will have at least
two to use. Tim is a very experienced and knowledgable tech, and
will show us step by step how easy it is. 

We will also need some small, pointed scissors to cut the braid, some
side cutters (dykes), and a sharp knife or box cutter. Please bring
what you have.
