[gcares] GCARES Meeting Thursday 7:30 PM BTFD Station 1

Just a reminder that the "August" GCARES meeting will be held this Thursday at 7:30 PM in the Training Room at Beavercreek Township Fire Department Station 1, on Dayton-Xenia Road just west of Orchard Lane.  Orchard Lane at US35 is the 2nd traffic light east of Fairfield Road, and the 2nd traffic light west of Xenia.  Park on the west end of the building and enter at the southwest corner of the building.  All Greene County hams are invited and encouraged to attend, especially Assistant EC's.
   
  Agenda items include planning for the October GCARES Simulated Emergency Test (S.E.T. 2006) and discussion of the proposed Ohio ARES digital network, plus follow-up reports and discussion on other ongoing local and countywide projects.
   
  Please attend if you can.  Your participation and input is vital for the continuing successful preparedness of amateur radio emergency communications support within Greene County and for mutual assistance to the surrounding region.  Thanks.

  The GCARES meeting scheduled for Monday 28 August (TONIGHT) has been CANCELLED.
   
  This decision was made Saturday because of the uncertainty about the availability of a meeting place.  I did sent out a message Saturday regarding the cancellation but it went only to the AEC's instead of to the entire List.  I apologize for this short notice and appreciate your understanding and consideration.
   
   
  The August meeting has been rescheduled for Thursday, September 7, 7:30 PM, in the Training Room at Beavercreek Township Fire Station 1, on Dayton Xenia Road just west of Orchard Lane.  We have a number of important items to discuss and I hope you will be able to attend.  Your continuing support and participation is very important and greatly appreciated.
