[Hp8920] HP8920 Power Supply Information

Everyone, FYI.
After searching the web here is the info some of you may need if you
have a HP8920 with main power supply problems..
I say "Main" because there is one single regulator circuit not in the
power supply module that is on the HP schematics.
In working on our HP8920 with a main power supply issue we learned the
following & thought we should share..
 
1. The HP8920 power supply module is NOT made by HP
2. The HP8920 schematics do NOT include the power supply & the company
that made it will not supply them either.
3. The Power Supply in our unit was made by Artesyn Technologies & odds
are that they all were in the 8920.
4. The P.S. model in the HP8920 was not a "standard model" or listed on
their web site it was custom made just for HP.
5. Artesyn charges a flat rate fee of $200 for repair of these units.
6. The model that HP put in ours was the Artesyn NFS90-7630L
