K8FBN Field Day.

1. Club: Upper Valley Amateur Radio Club

2. Location: Community Park on Dayton Yellow Springs Road in Fairborn. 
Directions: 675 To Dayton Yellow Springs Road, then west to entrance of
Park. 
Landmarks: Just west of Fairborn High School and the Greene county Swimming
pool. Once in the park bear to the left into the big parking lot. UVARC will
occupy the Large shelter house. Visible from the parking lot and the street.
Talk-in 145.41- offset. PL.118.8

3. Times: Set up starting at 10 am Saturday Morning.  We'll make some coffee
and probably have some donuts. 


4. Tear down will come Sunday afternoon (probably around 1400 L) but can be
subject to: Weariness, food running out etc. 

5. Visitors? Operators are always welcome. Visitors are welcome during
daylight hours.  Hours for operators are not restricted. However, the Park
closes at dark. Check in on 145.41 for instructions in hours after dark.  


6. Plans: 4-A class. (Perhsps 5-A) Will be operating all HF bands, Primarily
ssb. CW and PSK31.


7. Other stuff: Demonstrations on SSTV, ATV (fast scan), Satellite, and
other stuff.. May have another new simple antenna to show off. (simple,
cheap, effective.)


8. This is our seventh year at this location. We are proud of our setup and
the counts we have been able to make in recent years. 

 

Field day is a social event at UVARC but we also want to demonstrate the
abilities of our operators and equipment.
