Subject: [Amateur-SIG] Ham SIG Tuesday July 1
Today! Tuesday June the 1st
7:00 pm at 119 Valley Street
This month the Field Day Wrap Up
A look at the semi-portable station used by N2TUN to get points for K8ZC
during field day. A review of the trials and tribulations of using digital
modes during a contest and how we worked out the bugs.
While we are in the program we can review PSK31 and find answers on how to
hunt and pounce, or run your own pile-up on PSK. We tried three different
software packages with differing results . With any luck perhaps someone at
the meeting can help me figure out Ham Radio Deluxe!
If you worked Field Day or visited any of the sites, bring your stories and
experiences!
Since we are talking Field Day and Portability, we will take a peek at the
Powerpole system and what you should do to make your radio ARES compatible.
My West Mountain Radio DC system drew more comments than anything else I had
with me!
Shawna will have the latest computer news and of course we are open to
suggestions and topics . including on the spot assistance - there is
probably someone at this meeting who can help you solve your radio or
computer issues! From there the topic of the evening can go wherever we
want .
All are welcome to visit the Ham SIG and you do not have to be a licensed
ham or a DMA member to stop in, though both are encouraged and we will aid
and abet you in achieving both goals!
Hope to see you there!
