This week is Severe Weather Awareness Week in Ohio. The Ohio statewide tornado drill will occur on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at approximately
9:50am. Everyone is encouraged to use this event to practice their weather safety plans. Businesses and schools should conduct tornado drills as
warning systems are tested. Amateur Radio Operators should check into their nets so that the check-ins can be reported to the NWS. Even hams outside
but near Ohio should feel free to check into the nets.

XWARN (Xenia Weather Amateur Radio Net) will be participating with Net Operations on Wednesday March 24th begining at 09:50am. Please set aside a moment of your time to check into the net on the Primary Frequency of 147.165 with a pl 0f 100. Backup operations will be on the GCARES 146.910 (no pl) repeater.

As a reminder, the National Weather Service Office in Wilmington will be holding a Weather Spotters Class on Monday March 29th at 6:30 in the Greene County Media Room on Ledbetter Road.

Thanks,

Mike Crawford KC8GLE
