SATURDAY:

On Saturday October 8th at the Beavercreek High School on Dayton Xenia Road, there will be a 5K Run held on the same course used for the Resolution Run on New Years Eve.  We are in need of around 10-15 operators for this short event.  Please report to the XWARN Trailer at the North West rear of the School by 7am.  This event should be over by 10am. Talkin and Net Control will be on the 147.165 XWARN Repeater.

On Saturday October 8th 2011 at the Xenia Township Fire Station south of Xenia on State Route 68 is the annual Xenia Township Fire Department Open House.   The open house is from 12 to 3pm and is a GREAT TIME!  Many displays are on-hand!  Both the Dara Communications Van and the XWARN Communications Trailer will be on-hand to demonstrate the many aspests of Amateur Radio.  5 or so volunteers are needed to talk with the general public about Amateur Radio and its many capabilities. Please come out and help promote Amateur Radio!!


SUNDAY:

On Sunday October 9th, the annual Dayton River Corridor Classic Half-Marathon and 5K Run/Walk will be held in between UD Arena and Welcome Stadium on Edwin C Moses Boulevard in Dayton.  This scenic course along the river corridor of the Great Miami River is in need of 15 or so Volunteers.   We also need QUITE A FEW bicycle mobile operators to roam the course and to follow "tail end charlie".

Operators are asked to report by 7:30 am to receive assignments.
