Hello John,

Prologix GPIB-USB controller provides a (virtual) serial port for
communicating with instruments. In Python, you would use one of the serial
libraries such as pySerial. I will email you a sample program.

Mac Intel drivers are available for Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) and later. See
http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm

Thanks for your interest. Please email if you have any questions.

Regards,
Abdul

Subject: [time-nuts] Prologix GPIB-USB advice

Hi all,

I am a fairly newcomer to the Mac world and the Python world, that said, I
wish to use a Prologix GPIB-USB converter in this environment with that
language. Anyone with experience in the matter, or at least partially, i.e.
Got it working on the Mac (Intel)? Do you use pyVISA or some more direct
method? OK, if you can shed some light please let me know.
