Advanced Spotter Training Class
March 12, 2011 -- Dayton, OH

 The National Weather Service forecast office in Wilmington Ohio, in
conjunction with Dayton Skywarn <http://www.dayton-skywarn.org/> , will
be hosting basic and advanced spotter training classes on March 12,
2011.

WHEN:

Basic / 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Advanced / 1:30 PM - 5:00 PM

Join NWS meteorologists for both training sessions. The basic course
will cover the fundamentals of thunderstorms and spotting techniques,
and will also feature additional content from Dayton Skywarn members. In
the advanced course, NWS meteorologists will lead an in-depth look at
advanced storm spotting strategies, the science of using weather radar
in warning operations, and interactive simulations that put the viewers
in the hot seat.
