Wiggling as I turn the C-field control. I discovered the problem is
that the attenuator on my 3325A is shot -- when you cross from 0.99 to
1.00 volts, it switches attenuator ranges and something must be open on
the higher range as the output is a fixed 3.3V RMS no matter what you
set the attenuator to. With an external 50 ohm attenuator (600 ohm
probably would have been better, but I didn't have one handy) I was able
to get things acting more or less like what the manual says, though the
difference between peaks and dips is only 3 or 4 minor divisions on the
meter.
