thanks much for your detailed response! I will need to take time to read  it.

There is one more issue I ran into on the older version (will get the  new 
one now): I have integer numbers in some of my data captures, and the unit  only 
reads in data that has a decimal point (such as 10.0 versus 10). Could this  
be fixed that integers are read in correctly as well? I use integers for DAC  
settings etc (integer DACs) for example.
