Hi!

On friday my iLotus M12M Timing GPS receiver. The Synergy GPS development
pack suited my needs very well and it didn't take long to have it up and
running, just what I needed after a hard day of work.

I have been running the WinOncore12 software and have noticed that the
Oscillator Offset is clearly temperature dependent. By just laying the palm of
my hand over the board, the frequency steadilly ticks up and as I pull it away
it goes the other way around, down. There is a temperature reading there which
sits quite at 00.0 degrees C. Is the temperature sensor not mounted or what?
What model would it be and where should I put it then?

Since I yeat have to do some N-MMCX cabeling exercises I use the small patch-
antenna that came with it rather than the antenna on the roof. Therefore I have
not been able to track all visible satelites since, well, the skyview has been
quite limited. It has done a pretty good job never the less.

What I do like with the development board is that I get clean RS-232 as well as
a separate PPS on SMA. Getting started and hooking it up to other things is
pretty straight forward and thus highly recommended.

While the WinOncore12 is a nice tool to get started with, I won't be using that
on a continous basis. I may use it for post-processing purposes thought.

Once I've relocated it and hooked it up to the big antenna and started some
comparative measurements I'll report back. I need to do some rearrangements in
the lab regardless.

Cheers,
Magnus
