Would you like to get free equipment from ebay sellers?? Read on...I would agree with you all that the ebay feedback system leaves a lot to be desired. As primarily a seller, here is one from that side of the fence. Ebay also owns PayPal. In late May, I sold two full and two partial rolls of cable to a buyer via ebay. He had asked after buying the two full ones if I had more. I estimated the length on the two partials, then reduced the amount to make sure he had more than what I was saying and priced them to him. He emailed, saying he wanted them, paid with PayPal, and left a positive feedback after receiving them ( I had left him a positive as soon as I shipped them.). Now, in July, he is saying he never authorized the transaction and it looks like his credit card company is going to give him his money back. PayPal has already frozen an amount in my PayPal account equal to the purchase price. They so far have said that if his credit card company gives his money back, they have to take mine out to replace the credit cards money. He apparently gets to keep the cable, gets his money back, and already has a positive feedback from me that I can't change. He has never contacted me since the sale to say there was a problem or anything else about it.
It isn't resolved yet but I am not holding my breath for a positive outcome.
