[time-nuts] Prologix GPIB/USB converter help...

Prologix support at prologix.biz

Hi Said,

In that case the new firmware will not be compatible at all. The new
hardware uses FTDI FT245R USB FIFO chip which has a parallel interface to
the micro. Host side USB drivers make it appear like a virtual serial port,
which is why all the serial port parameters can be ignored.

Hi Abdul,

we modified the board to have true RS-232 output to talk to an instrument
that just has RS-232, and we are bypassing the USB chip, but our RS-232
does
not have flow control.

This works well (with the timing loops) but I think with the new software
it
could be sped-up quite a bit.

bye,
Said
