intended to operate from a DC supply of 24 volts.
The 9 pin connector will almost certainly be a standard serial port
which means all inputs and outputs, including the 24 volt DC supply,
must be via the 25 pin connector.
If you can determine what two pins on this connector are used to
supply the 24 volts then you can power it up and use a scope etc to
determine what outputs you have on the other pins.
If this assembly is anything like the Z3815A, then the two 25 pin
connector power pins are supplemented by a pair of parallel connected
DC supply pins on the pcb, presumably used for test purposes, etc.
I see from the picture of the pcb holding the Lucent power module
that there are two pins on the pcb next to the 25 pin connector. You
could try applying 24 volts to these and see what happens. Use a
current limited supply and ramp the voltage up slowly in the first
instance. In the case of the Z 3815A, the supply polarity applied to
both these pins and the external connector is unimportant-it may be
prudent to check this in your case by looking for a bridge rectifier
in the supply rail traces on the pcb before you apply power.
