[time-nuts] 60 KHz Receiver

The city of Sunnyvale was thinking of replacing it (the Blue Cube, etc) with car dealerships, but decided against it because only 3 dealers would fit. I was happy; who needs more car dealers?

They now want to do something that won't increase traffic too much. They also just opened a bike trail in the wetlands behind Moffet (in reality, it took them a few years to remove 2 locks). There are still signs back there banning cameras (or they were there a year ago).

About the only doors in the place that did not have electronic combo locks
were the bathrooms.

Sad to see it's being shut down. IMO, it was one of the kewl places to be
in the heddy early days of space.

OTOH, it probably makes some sense to muve the thing into the bowels of a
mountain somewhere.

FWIW,
