[time-nuts] Z3805A cooling requirements?

Did a quick experiment with an MV89 that has been powered down for several months. I let the unit warm up for approx 10 hours, then began to blow air over it with a muffin fan. As I expected the unit changed frequency somewhat. On average there also may be a bit less short term variation in frequency after the fan was turned on. The environmental conditions in the room where the MV89 is are also not the best today.

I'll let this sit for a few days and then turn off the fan and see what happens. I'll likely also measure the BVA reference against another OCXO to confirm the BVA is not drifting during the test.

Regards
Mark Spencer
