Yes, you send a mail with a new subject. Please don't CHANGE the subject of a thread or topic, as that doesn't actually start a new topic.
I also suggest that you send email to the reflector as "Plain Text".

David Partridge

Subject: [time-nuts] How to start a new topic
Fellow time-nuts,
I am new in this mailing list and a little bit unfamiliar with it, so I hope I'm not doing something stupid.
How do I start a new topic? Simply send a mail with a new subject?
Thanks a lot
Volker
