Ummmm, errrr. Even with all the mods, a 4501 is a fairly low resolution device. It's an amazing little box and I have several of them. Some (but not all) with the mods actually done correctly. 

You should be able to get away with a lot when driving one. Fancy distribution "stuff" is not needed in this application. Solid reliable connections yes, but not super low phase noise or 1x10^-15 / 1 sec additive ADEV.
