It could have been from grinding my teeth in frustration at buying a 
dead unit! :)

My money's on the 'bad luck comes in threes' legend.  I had good luck 
fixing the DTS-2077 so I had to pay for it with 3 bad things.  How's 
that for unscientific thinking?  :)
