[time-nuts] Symmetricom ET-6000 TCXO receivers

Hi

You are correct in your observation that the short term stability of a TCXO *does* impact GPSDO performance. An OCXO
(once it has warmed up and stabilized) will do better than a TCXO.

Because of the higher sensitivity of a TCXO on the EFC, there will be some change to the firmware when going from a TCXO
to an OCXO. Can you get things done? Maybe….

There are a number of OCXO GPSDO’s out there these days. The “low cost” ones seem to be in the ~$40 range. It’s cheaper
to get one of them than to do crazy things to a TCXO based unit.
