I got the emulation program, figured out how to make it work ('Custom' baud
rate and '300' in the space below) and was able to save a file. Now to get
Excel on my shop computer and figure out how to turn data into a graph.
Just shorting my leads and watching, it is somewhat variable but primarily
0.000 000 00 +/- 2 to 3 uV on the 0.1 V scale. Seems a bit noisy but I have
no experience with meters this sensitive.
I also have an issue with the front panel connector that I think is just
wear and tear on the connector. I have ordered a replacement but it will
not be here for several weeks.
When I install it, should I use silver solder? Or is just attention to
detail when it comes to removing the flux the main issue?

Hi, Joe!
Serial number of my S7081 is 000236 - one of the first models, that lack of
some minor improvements in the Input Amplifier and DC/AC Ranging. I'm using
a simple freeware serial port terminal emulation program "Terminal v1.9b"
https://sites.google.com/site/terminalbpp/ I'm save all the output to a log
file, cut out the header and ending, then rename it to "CSV" standart EXCEL
extention. That's all!
