Experimental IP Addresses

A LAN that doesn't interconnect with other networks doesn't need to have coordinated IP addresses. There are blocks of addresses reserved for these uses, and you may use any of these without getting a formal assignment as long as your LAN remains isolated from the Internet and from other coordinated LANs.

In Ohio, the full subnet 44.71.63.0 through 44.71.63.255 has been reserved for this purpose. Feel free to use these addresses for experimental or temporary setups, or any time the addresses will never be seen by the outside world.
