Hi Raj,

First look for a good antenna site. A high gain antenna LNA will let you
run cheaper/longer runs of coax to get you to that good location. A very
high gain and a very short antenna cable might even sature the RF frontend
of your (older) GPS receiver. High gain is not really a sign of high
quality. You need enough gain for your installation. Then LNA noise
figure, VSWR, perhaps lightning protection and making sure your antenna
does not end up also beeing a birdsnest get much more important.
