Go with larger cable up to the place where you have the lightening
protection device, then from there use the small cable through the
window. I think a cleaner installation would be a wall passthrogh
like the cable TV installers use. These would allow a much larger
cable. But if not, use an N conector and transition from large to
small cable just before the window.
